Why not?fiestavike wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 4:04 pmHow about Cole McDonald, QB, Hawaii? Montez from Colorado? Any other QB prospects worth a try this year at this point?S197 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 4:02 pm
Exactly, they rarely develop into anything which is why stockpiling them is a poor strategy. And it’s even worse in a year with limited time for evaluation and competition.
And a long snapper, punter, a pair of kickers, a LB converted to FB, a kid from Germany that’s a Vikings fan, all these are worth a draft pick but not the QB position?

One of the guards might be Oli Udoh. Reports are that the Vikes like his progress.VikingPaul73 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 2:59 pmI hope its Dozier AND Samia. I would really rather not watch Elf struggle again next year, but it looks like that will be the case again.
Go ahead. I dare you.

Re: Draft thread
I think TE, RB, and LBs who can contribute on special teams are very likely to be among the 7th round selections.

Challenge for him his height, it’s hard to play guard at 6’6.J. Kapp 11 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 4:12 pmOne of the guards might be Oli Udoh. Reports are that the Vikes like his progress.VikingPaul73 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 2:59 pm

I do like the idea of Udoh and Samia eventually taking over G positions. Help bring some nasty to this charmin line.S197 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 4:16 pmChallenge for him his height, it’s hard to play guard at 6’6.J. Kapp 11 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 4:12 pm

Re: Draft thread
I mentioned early we’d be getting some 2021 picks. So far we gained an extra 2021 4th and two 5ths. Plus the 4th from the diggs trade.
So next year so far it looks like:
1st
2nd
3rd
3rd (Projected compensatory for Waynes)
4th
4th (diggs trade)
4th (2020 draft trade)
5th
5th (2020 draft trade)
5th (2020 draft trade)
6th
6th (projected compensatory for Alexander)
7th
7th (projected compensatory for sendejo)
7th (projected compensatory for Kearse, based on playing time)
We literally could have roughly 15 picks going into next year already. And that’s not counting some more we could land today. I said this offseason on here that guys had to stop worrying about free agency and it looked like they were planning on building through the draft. Not only have they done that this year but they are doing it again next year

Re: Draft thread
Yeah they do like Udoh. Idk if I seen him playing guard though. However we have a ton of tackles right now. We’ve drafted 2 in this draft plus O’Neill, Udoh, Hill, Reiff and Collins. I think moving Udoh could be a good idea. Might be the power we need on the insidefiestavike wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 4:18 pmI do like the idea of Udoh and Samia eventually taking over G positions. Where did the 5th rounders come from? I know one was in the trade with Baltimore, but which trade did the other 2020 5th rounder come in?Pondering Her Percy wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 4:39 pm I mentioned early we’d be getting some 2021 picks. Nice value in the 7th. I saw him going in the fourth.
