Rick sat there with 11 picks and didn’t even make a move.
13 picks for today is ridiculous. I for one will be glad when Rick is gone and we start trying to add 2nd and 3 round personnel instead of 7th round people.
I do not know why you are complaining about it? Do you rather be the Saints and have no picks at all today?
Look Randy, it doesn't always have to be polar opposites, it isn't always BLACK OR WHITE.
Just because were not thrilled that Rick didn't use his THIRTEEN day-three picks to trade up a time or two, doesn't mean we'd rather be the Saints with 0 picks today.

Don't be that guy that presents the polar opposite argument, its pointless and not constructive.

Rick's interview after the first round yest., stated he was going to parlay all the later round picks to move up into tonight's rounds...How did that work out??
Saints didn’t want them picks. But they sure wanted our 105 pick.
Explain to me why we need 13 picks today. And when the final cut comes see how many of these 13 picks is on the roster.
I would sooner have added a couple more quality players.
Right or Wrong just my opinion.
Having 13 picks are not a bad thing, Vikings could trade some of their picks for next year's picks, use some picks for depth and who knows, Vikings could find a diamond in the rough like they sometimes do

Fair enough Randy, thats valid. But here’s the problem:

For two guys who are certainly on the hot seat after this season, you would expect some bigger swings in the CURRENT draft where they are in PRIME position to make a big impact on THIS YEAR’s roster.
Let’s hope they find some diamonds

Love it love it love it.

I'm all about the trade back. Its not as though the dominoes just fall in order. The statistical difference between 105 being a hit and 130 being a hit is negligible. Almost 0 difference. 4 more shots is so much the way to go.

I wouldn't have minded trading up either if they had their guy and found a trade partner, but I almost never think its a bad move to trade back.

Couldn't agree more.

Depth gets us back to the same place we were last season. We need difference makers to get us over the hump.

You're knocking Ezra because he didn't hit the bag hard enough at the combine?

Obviously its too much to ask to click a provided link. The video is of Cameron Dantzler film study..
A punch is an extremely useful tool at any OLineman's disposal. Laugh if you want, buts its illustrating a point. Its not an over-arching judgement on the player.

Obviously I was referring to your link in the signature and was aware that was Dantzler. Knocking a guy because he didn't punch a bag hard enough according to one guy in simulated fluff at the combine is ridiculous.

Fair enough but you directly quoted a link and then made your statement. So obviously it wasn’t that obvious..🤔

The more I listen to you blather on the more I realize that I shouldn't. Maybe you will have something useful to say about somebody other than Cleveland.

I would like to make an omission.

I believe I reacted too hastily towards the Cleveland and Dantzler picks. While I still hold the contention that I am not too thrilled that we didn't trade up one time in day two, I rescind most of my bashing of our 2nd & 3rd round picks.

Also, seeing how day three is going so far, I am quite pleased. I really do think we missed a chance to add another dynamic potential difference maker on day 2, but thus far I can't complain too much about our picks.

My criticisms of Cleveland and my reservations on him remain to be seen, but to be honest he does a lot of things well, I am just worried that vs. the Chris Jones' of the world and the SF front 7's of the world he will be more of a liability than an asset. Hopefully I stand corrected.

Cameron Dantzler also seems to be a potentially solid player. I never saw that he posted ~4.4 at his pro day, and after digging into some more film, I feel a little more optimistic about him. I still think he has to fill out that frame a little more, get up to ~195-200lbs. But he made some good plays.
