As a Utah fan I was hoping the Vikings would take him. I personally think he'll be better than Gladney, but obviously I'm super biased here. His injury history didn't help him, but this last thing was extremely minor.

@PFF_Vikings
With the 58th pick in the 2020 #NFLDraft the Minnesota Vikings select... Ezra Cleveland! Offensive tackle from Boise State!

7th ranked OT on the PFF Big Board

Allowed less than 20 total pressures in each of his 3 seasons

78.2 run block grade

81.9 pass block grade
Now let's get an athletic D-lineman, a couple of safeties and maybe a guard (depending on what we're planning on doing with Reiff).

Deal is off folks.
Thank God! Not only was I getting tired of reading about it but I thought it would be a mistake anyway. Vikings are better off getting younger and more athletic and drafting a guy who can sit, learn and develop before he's thrust into a starting role.

It would be nice but Trent would ask for too much money and Vikings can not afford him

I doubt it because Cleveland is going to replace Reiff

+ GB's trainwreck of a draft and I'm a pretty happy Vikings fan so far. Feels weird. Might drink.

@christomasson #Vikings director of scouting Jamaal Stephenson on Ezra Cleveland: "He's played left tackle his whole career in college, so we know who he can do that. We also believe he has some guard flexibility'' and can play right tackle.

On the surface, if someone asked me what the Packers could do in this year's draft that would make me as a fan of the Vikings happy, they're doing it. Move up to draft a speculative QB prospect that they could have sat back and had drop to them, then draft a college RB with a lot of miles on the tires who will see spot duty at best behind their existing RB.

Yup, that would about be ideal for what you hope a rival team would do in the draft.

@christomasson Jamaal Stephenson talks more about Ezra Cleveland compared to Brian O'Neill. "Similar places where we drafted them. ... Even Ezra will tell you he needs to get stronger... That's something that's fairly easy to work on.''

He's very strong upper body on the bench. Needs to strengthen the lower body.
