You do a good job with these roster analyses, PHP. You've left off Stacy Coley. What's your take on him? Seems like a guy who's shown enough to get snatched for somebody's 53 if we try to put him on the practice squad.

Speaking of ... who do you think would be on our practice squad? I feel like we've got some good developmental candidates, such as Brandon Zylstra and Ifeadi Odenigbo. Wondering your take.

Thanks Kapp ! I appreciate it.

I was torn between Coley and Beebe. Reason I went with Beebe is because Coley has been banged up. And Beebe has been making some plays. Overall, I think Coley is more talent but I'm not sure how they will treat his injury when it comes to cut time.

As for the PS, I definitely think Zylstra and Odenigbo will be on in. Roc Thomas will be another one. Maybe Badet due to his return ability. CB Craig James has made some plays here and there. I would think Tocho is a lock again. They could keep Cliett at LB and put Downs on the PS. We definitely need to keep a LB or two and a DL or two on the PS. We have so many DB's we can keep on the PS. James, Tocho, Richardson, etc. I feel like we already have plenty. I think they keep Hill and pull what they did with Sloter. They knew they would lose him so they kept him on the 53. I think the same goes for Holton Hill and he'll just be an inactive every week. Practice squad is a touch one to determine

My guess is Gossett goes to the practice squad, maybe to keep a 4th TE. I also think Sherels makes the team over Hill (although if Beebe makes the team that diminishes Sherel's value some). Downs would be a surprise keep to me, I think Williams and Cliett are both in front of him. It will be interesting to see what happens with Brothers after his suspension, he was very good on special teams last year.

I'm pretty concerned about DT, particularly NT. Johnson was poor against the run last year and Downs is undersized. If Linval goes down, I think we're pretty screwed. Makes me wonder if Parry has an outside shot of making the team but I wouldn't put money on it.

I think the only disagreement I'd have is Beebe over Coley. I just feel like Stacy Coley has shown enough on tape that he'd get grabbed for some other team's 53. Beebe is undrafted and probably would be safe on the PS. That would also allow him to develop.

Everybody keeps raving about Holton Hill in practice, but it seems like he's been less impressive in preseason games. That's going solely on the testimony of others, though. To be honest, I only watched the first preseason game, and that only a half. He certainly has the measurables to be a solid corner, but the knock on him (like so many college players) is that he's grabby and doesn't locate the ball as well as he needs to. Sounds a little like Trae Waynes, only without the 4.3 speed. All that being said, he's been turning heads in camp, and other players keep bringing him up in interviews. You could very well be right ... keep him on the 53 but make him inactive each week until he's ready.

Good call on Kendall Wright. After a slow start in training camp -- John DeFilippo thought Wright was thinking too much and playing slow -- Wright's game is now "taking off," according to Flip. He seems a lock to make the team. I like his veteran presence. Did you guys know? Kendall Wright leads all Vikings receivers in career receptions and yards. The guy caught 94 passes one year. I see him as a good fall-back if Treadwell craps the bed.

I just saw the article about that.
EAGAN, Minn. — Forget simple fly patterns, Kendall Wright’s career has been all about learning on the fly.

The dubious stat line not of his doing: nine different starting quarterbacks, four head coaches and four unique offensive coordinators in his first six pro seasons.

Selected by Tennessee in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft, Wright played for three head coaches (Mike Munchak, Ken Whisenhunt and Mike Mularkey) and four offensive coordinators (Chris Palmer, Dowell Loggains, Jason Michael and Terry Robiskie) in five seasons with the Titans.

Seven quarterbacks — Matt Hasselbeck, Jake Locker, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Zach Mettenberger, Charlie Whitehurst, Marcus Mariota and Matt Cassel — started games for the Titans during that span.

Wright started 41 of 66 games in Tennessee and recorded 280 catches for 3,244 yards and 18 touchdowns.
