Probably the most underrated player on the team. Blocking is phenomenal and I guess he can catch too!Mothman wrote:Oh, and let's acknowledge how well David Morgan played today!

Great to lock up the bye. I think the eagles lose to whoever they face. I'm not sure who I would most and least like the Vikings to play. If they win in turnovers, penalties, and field position they will be tough to beat.

The Vikings have never won a Superbowl. Coincidence? I think not!808vikingsfan wrote:Vikings have never been 13-3 before

I love that dude. He's this guy who gets down in the dirt and plays his butt off. Could have played with Kapp and Company in the 60's, early 70's.Mothman wrote:Oh, and let's acknowledge how well David Morgan played today!
Well, except that Bud Grant never would have allowed all that hair!
Go ahead. I dare you.

I want the Saints, in our house. It's payback time.

2 seed baby!! We’ll be the 1 by default IMO because I don’t see Philly getting out of their first game. Bring it! I’ll take anyone on in our house. This defense is lethal. Offense should be healthy by then. Elflein is an anchor

I was wondering about that. I couldn't recall a 13-3 Vikings season but I haven't checked.

I'm pretty sure they have that wrong and it's the Vikings first 13 win season:halfgiz wrote:

Not that it matters... it's the 13 wins that are important and they're going into the playoffs with momentum!

I think they mean "at least 13 wins."Mothman wrote: I'm pretty sure they have that wrong and it's the Vikings first 13 win season:

This is the only time we've ever won exactly 13. Of course, we won 15 in 1998.
None of the great old Vikings teams of Bud Grant won more than 12. Of course, those were 14-game seasons.
Go ahead. I dare you.

I agree 100%. Seems like a lot of the better teams lean on this (GB, Pit, etc) when they have a slow start. I get that it's within the rules and that you should play "clean" but just comes across kind of cheap to me. Only other thing is Sendejo has improved but would rather hit than wrap up.......that makes me nervous.Mothman wrote:
One thing I hope Zimmer addresses over the next two weeks: the Vikings corners were playing pretty grabby football today. They were getting away with it but they can't make a habit of that stuff because all it will take is a picky officiating crew in the playoffs to turn those jersey grabs and that downfield contact into costly penalties. I hope they clean it up.
That's a minor complaint and there's really not much else to complain about. They're playing winning football and hopefully, they can keep it up for 3 more games!

Re: Week 17 Vikes-Bears game thread
Charles Davis hit on the grabbyness, specifically as it pertains to Rhodes. Found that interesting about strapping on boxing gloves. But, yes...it needs to be addressed. As well as Keenum stepping back up into the pocket instead of rolling out each time he gets pressured like he fixed after the Steelers game, was it?

You're probably right.
Re: Week 17 Vikes-Bears game thread
I hear you. For example, both the Rams and Saints have RBs that could really make a defense pay for the kind of missed tackles that come from "tackling" with your shoulder instead of your arms.autobon7 wrote:I agree 100%.
