XFL coming back?

Run into some old friends from another group or board? Want to do a little schmoozing, talk over old times? Or just some off topic stuff, then this is the place.

XFL coming back?

Post by dead_poet »

Vince McMahon sold $100 million worth of WWE stock today to fund Alpha Entertainment, which Darren Rovell said was, in part, to fund a pro football venture.

Alpha Entertainment filed for 5 trademarks last week to the "XFL."

Hmmm

Can’t be to surprised the NFL has had several parks
with more empty seats than occupied ones.

When we played Atlanta I saw a lot of empty seats.

Last I saw an article ratings were dropping by double
digits in some cases the drop was over twenty percent
in the last two years.

You have companies dropping ads

If this continues your going to see major issues
and pay cuts.

I went to an XFL game. The game itself is pretty regular, other than the way they do the "coin toss" which is pretty awesome. But the fans are nuts. Drunks everywhere, girls flashing, it was like Mardi Gras in a stadium. Oh, and the players being able to put whatever name on their jersey. I remember a RB had "He Hate Me" on his jersey.
