In my opinion, the move the Vikings make is likely to be made using a quarterback.

Let's assume that for a moment. Here are the choices.

Don't activate Teddy Bridgewater
He'll go on IR for the rest of the season if he's not activated by Wednesday. Doesn't seem to make sense, though, does it? Unless something comes up on his final medical exam, all signs point to the Vikings activating him. Just mentioned it here because it is an option.

Put Sam Bradford on IR
Don't know the likelihood of this, but it seems more likely than not activating Teddy. Sam hasn't practiced since the Bears game. Teddy actually has. Would suck for Bradford, and it would suck for the Vikings because they're paying him $18 million. But it could happen.

Waive Kyle Sloter
If that happens, he's as good as gone. With all the bad QB situations in the NFL right now, there's no way he'd make it through waivers and get signed to the Vikings practice squad. But there's something fishy about the Vikings and Sloter. They signed him for $20,000 a week to be on the practice squad, the maximum for a PS player. Do they see something in him that would cause them to keep him active over Teddy or Sam?

Keep four quarterbacks (i.e. waive somebody else)
It just doesn't make sense to keep four players at a position for which you only need one. Pretty much nobody does it, which is why I don't think they'll make a move with another player. It's likely to be a quarterback.

I honestly think putting Bradford on IR is the most likely option. It's either going to be that, or they're going to waive Kyle Sloter. As far as proven NFL talent is concerned, waiving Sloter makes the most sense. But if Sam really isn't making any progress with his knee, and he's a free agent at the end of the season anyway, what's the point in burning a roster spot for him? Especially if they think they have something in Sloter.

It'll definitely be interesting.

Well there you have it folks.
With Sam Bradford still sidelined indefinitely, the Minnesota Vikings plan to activate Teddy Bridgewater for Week 10 but stick with Case Keenum as their starting quarterback.

CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora reported Sunday that Bridgewater, the team's former first-round draft pick and starter, should be removed from the Physically Unable to Perform list this week, and that "there are no immediate plans to change course" atop the QB depth chart. According to La Canfora, Bridgewater will continue to gain practice reps and is now eligible to enter a game if need be due to injury or performance.

I would consider Aviante Collins as a potential cut. They have Hill and Sirles to play backup T.

Don't know if this is considered off topic for this thread...but.

If the NY Giants start making calls about what they can get for Eli Manning. Should the Vikings take that call?

Per Thomasson, "Source called it unlikely the Vikings waive Sloter for the roster spot that is needed when Teddy is activated."

Seems to indicate Bradford to IR?

That is what I believe will happen.

But still no video.

It's not that I don't believe it. I just honestly want to see him doing his thing. I really find myself rooting for the guy.

The thing is, nobody knows what Sam's status is. Is he improving or isn't he.
Guess we will find that out Wednesday.

I heard the Viking got trade offers for Slotter...either must have been not enough or they are really high on the kid.

FWIW Jarius Wright was more reserved, saying that Teddy is getting his feet wet and Case was playing well. Inference was that why make a switch if what you're doing is working. Valid point. I don't see us making noise in the playoffs with Case though, assuming we make it there.

Theres no way Teddy plays worse then Case did that first half against the lowly Browns.
