September 16, 1973
Vikings 24 Raiders 16
The clinching touchdown in the 4th quarter is set up by a fumble recovery by a linebacker from Stanford (1972-1982) who was a Butkus Award winner and 1st round pick. He was a 4-time Pro Bowler who played in 3 Super Bowls for Minnesota. He is also a member of the 50 Greatest Vikings. Can you name him?

September 17, 1961
Vikings 37 Bears 13
Minnesota shocks Chicago in its first game ever. The first Viking points are scored on a field goal by a 15th round draft pick from Arizona State. He played for the Vikings (1961-1962) as well as the Raiders, Chiefs, Bills, Packers and Chargers over the next 8 seasons. He kicked for the Chiefs in the first Super Bowl after the 1966 season. Can you name him?
The first Viking touchdown is scored on a pass from Fran Tarkenton to an end from Bowling Green who had been a 2-time Pro Bowler and NFL champion with the Giants in 1956. He went on to a 27-year NFL coaching career, including a 4-year stint as Viking Offensive Coordinator (1986-1989). Can you name him?

September 18, 1983
Vikings 19 Buccaneers 16 (OT)
Minnesota gets 4 field goals from a native of Paraguay who played at San Diego State. 1983 was his only season in Minnesota but he also kicked for the Bills, Lions, Saints and Chargers (1975-1984). Can you name him?

September 19
The Vikings have never won on September 19

September 20, 1992
Vikings 26 Buccaneers 20
A back-up quarterback from USC steps up to put the game away with a 4th quarter touchdown pass to Chris Carter. He had led Winnipeg to A Grey Cup championship in 1988 before coming to the Vikings (1990-1994). In 1992 he went on to lead the team to a division title in Dennis Green's first season as head coach. He went on to a career as an NFL studio personality on ESPN. Can you name him?

September 21, 2003
Vikings 23 at Lions 13
Daunte Culpepper scores a touchdown but is hit 5 yards deep in the end zone (a blatant cheap shot that went unflagged!), sustaining a back injury that would plague him for the rest of his career. A back-up comes in to throw a clinching 4th quarter touchdown pass to Kelly Campbell. This Tulsa product played 2 years in Minnesota (2003-2004) but also played for the Redskins, Lions, Broncos, Bengals, Dolphins and Chargers over 15 NFL seasons (1994-2008). He is known for scoring a touchdown and knocking himself out of the game by head-butting the padded goal post. Can you name him?

Jeff Siemon.

No idea. I'll go with the other person's guess -- Bob Schnelker?

9/18/83
It wasn't Fuad ... he was in the 90s. Must be Benny Ricardo.

9/20/92
Sean Salisbury.

9/21/03
The head butt gave it away. Has to be Gus Frerotte.
