Basic Questions

Post by mike2mike »

I've paid little attention this offseason.
1)if the season started today who is the starting right guard? Berger and start Easton at Center? Beavers trial by fire like we did with Fusco his first year?
2)Could Clemmings be in the mix at Gaurd?
3)did we extend Rhodes to a deal yet?
4)How much cap room do we have?
5)where will Datone Jones play?
6)Have there been any talks about Bradford/Bridgewater on the contract department?
7)Aside from the two OL and Datone Jones is there anything else that happened this offseason so far?

It's unclear but from what I've read, it seems likely it would either be Sirles or Berger would get the start with Easton playing center.
2)Could Clemmings be in the mix at Gaurd?
He doesn't appear to be in the mix at this point.
3)did we extend Rhodes to a deal yet?
No, not yet.
4)How much cap room do we have?
It looks like it's about $15.5 million. Here's a good site for cap and contract info: http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/minnesota-vikings/cap/
5)where will Datone Jones play?
He’s expected to be a defensive end in the Vikings’ 4-3 defense.
6)Have there been any talks about Bradford/Bridgewater on the contract department?
No. Yesterday, there were reports that the Vikings probably won't pick up the 5th year option on Bridgewater's contract. The Vikings haven't discussed a contract extension with Bradford.
7)Aside from the two OL and Datone Jones is there anything else that happened this offseason so far?
Are you asking if they signed any other free agents? In addition to the 3 players you referred to above, they've signed QB Case Keenum, RB Latavius Murray and a few other free agents. They've also released and/or lost some players who played key roles in recent years. There's a free agency tracker on the Vikes site with more info: http://www.vikings.com/news/article-1/2 ... d8fe3505a8

Sirles is still a prospect. Clemmings would take a miracle to pan out.

Ughhh  What is wrong with Sirles and Easton as depth pieces??
