I had the same impression last year.VikingPaul73 wrote:that's brutal. I think I made a comment weeks ago suggesting he was "milking" the Vikings for the extra contract. Now I feel really bad about that
And maybe I was reading too much into things, but it really seemed like zimmer was downplaying the injury and almost suggesting Floyd was sandbagging.

Looks like we could be taking a DT in the 2nd now with the Floyd news. Unless they think Datone Jones can get the job done. Sucks to hear about Floyd. This must be news to them as well because I don't know why else they would pick up his option

Case Keenum, QB, Vikings

Via Mark Berman of FOX 26 in Houston, veteran quarterback Case Keenum has signed with the Vikings.
The former University of Houston standout and one-time Texan started nine games for the Rams in 2016, after signing a one-year restricted free agency tender. He became an unrestricted free agent on March 9.

Thanks for the info!
The PP says it's a one year contract worth $2 million.

Love the Keenum signing. Has some starting experience and still fairly young. Good move by Spielman

Not bad, I thought they might go with a cheaper option like Keenum. He's an accurate passer (~60%) but needs to cut down on turnovers. Not starting caliber by any means but hopefully can fill in a few games in a pinch.

Well, this shot my April fools joke straight in the butt. Was going to post that we resigned Ponder. Is Rick finally getting it right? He's done some surprising stuff in the past year. Very un-Viking like.HardcoreVikesFan wrote:Case Keenum, QB, Vikings

Don't hate on my Buckeyes. Some of the best Vikings went to Ohio State.

Agreed. Hill at 36 just couldn't be trusted to be a Number two QB.Pondering Her Percy wrote:All I know is, id much rather have Keenum than Shaun Hill
That being said, this signing is no different than the typical Vikings back-up QB signing: Shaun Hill, Matt Cassel, Sage Rosenfels, Gus Frerotte, etc.
It's just, meh.

With just a little creativity, we could have been one tweaked ankle from The Big Sourpuss (a.k.a. Jay-Z Cutler) commanding the Vikings' huddle.
Stupid Spielman.
Go ahead. I dare you.
Underestimate this man.
