Kickers?

Re: Kickers?
Lets just carry two kickers. Some older-but-accurate type for extra points and anything 30 yards or less. Then have Walsh come in for 30+ kicks

Re: Kickers?
Evidently according to the Pioneer Press today Walsh got 'irritated' that the Vikings auditioned some kickers this week. I hope he was irritated at himself and not at the Vikings, but from his prior comments it sounds like he thinks he's being unjustly ridiculed. If that's the case then he's not being honest with himself.

Re: Kickers?
The Vikes should just go for 2 pt conversions on all TD's. Better odds than letting Walsh kick a PAT.

Re: Kickers?
Not necessarily. How many attempts did it take us today to get convert a 1 yard run? How many times did we not get it? I think we were 1 for 6 on runs where we needed a yard for a TD or a first. Pathetic.soflavike wrote:The Vikes should just go for 2 pt conversions on all TD's. Better odds than letting Walsh kick a PAT.

Re: Kickers?
I don't know either. Look at the Dallas/Pittsburgh game today. Pittsburgh was 0-4 and Dallas was 0-2 on 2 point conversion attempts. Plus we are terrible in short yardage situations.soflavike wrote:The Vikes should just go for 2 pt conversions on all TD's. Better odds than letting Walsh kick a PAT.

Re: Kickers?
The Vikings can't even get first downs on 3rd/4th and 1's nor can they score at the goalline. Converting two-point conversions is less probable than even Blair kicking the XP.
Re: Kickers?
Walsh just needs to go....and Rick & Zimmer are dragging their feet. We could of had Gould, he was there.

Re: Kickers?
It sucks thinking back to how good we thought he would be at the end of the 2012 season, but it was time for him to go. Hopefully he finds success and we find a better alternative.
