As bad as they were (overshadowed by the even worse offense), they only gave up 20 points.

Getting Sendejo back will be huge, as weird as it is to say it. He and Harrison have a great working relationship together and I don't think it is much of a coincidence that since he got hurt, the defense has not looked quite the same.

Damn... is it even possible to pass concussion protocol this late in the week?

The Vikings let the Lions convert 7-of-14 third-down attempts on Sunday, and they might be able to get off the field more frequently if they can return to pressuring the quarterback. According to ESPN Stats & Information, the Vikings have pressured opposing QBs on only 19.6 percent of their dropbacks in the past three weeks, which is the third-lowest figure in the league.

After this weekend, the Vikings offense has now fallen all the way to the bottom of the league. They are ranked #32 out of 32 teams and are the only team averaging less than 300 yards per game. They've scored just 13 offensive TDs in 8 games.

The Vikings defense has slipped slightly to #3 in the league and they're currently #2 in scoring defense, currently trailing the Seahawks who play tonight.

sorry if someone else already said this but we at the very least appeared to be pulled out of hot water as opposed to going into meltdown. and a 59 yard field goal to force overtime? the lions look like they have the ultimate shank for a kicker. just doing the best we can will lead back to form, no need to kill ourselves or beat over the head.

Some good news:

https://thevikingage.com/2016/11/17/min ... on-record/
Fans of the Minnesota Vikings didn’t come away from watching the week 10 game against the Washington Redskins with much to cheer about. During a game where the team had plenty of opportunities to walk away with a win and end their losing streak, the contest ended in disappointment.

However, there was one part of the game which was overlooked during the game, and it involves Vikings kick returner and wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson. While Patterson was only able to return two kicks for 44 yards against the Redskins, it was enough to place him in Minnesota’s record books.

Coming into the game, Patterson had 3,619 kick return yards during his career with the Vikings. He only needed 5 yards to pass franchise leader Darrin Nelson, who accumulated 3,623 kick return yards during his time with Minnesota.

Now that Cordarrelle Patterson is the Minnesota Vikings franchise leader in kick return yards, he can continue to build on that number. With at least 6 games left this season and a possibility to return to the team afterwards, Patterson could keep building a franchise record that may never be broken.
