They were far from perfect.Crax wrote: They did good. Before the hype train gets going too fast though, the Giants have been one of the worst D-lines at getting pressure this year.

Cordarrelle Patterson's 36 snaps was the most for him since 2014 Week 9 back when he was frequently starting

Re: Giants @ Vikings Game Day Discussion Thread -- Week 4
offense is getting better.
Eli showed what happens when you get the ball out fast against Vikes. You might avoid the sacks but your production is still going to suck.

Really good W. Bradford reminds me of 2001ish Tom Brady. Not spectacular numbers but keeps the defense honest, takes what the D gives him, and doesn't turn the ball over. Actually, this whole team reminds me of those Patriot teams where nobody cares about personal stats - just the W.
Re: Giants @ Vikings Game Day Discussion Thread -- Week 4
That's a good comparison actually. And this offense is going to continue to grow for several reasons; 1) Integrating Patterson more and more, 2) Treadwell is not far off; 3) The RB's are finding their way more each game; 4) Perhaps the biggest of all, Sam is learning all the intricacies of each pass catcher such as depth of route, catch radius, hands, etc.TSonn wrote:Really good W. Add Floyd to the D and even perhaps AP late December?
Ah man, life is good!

Honestly I thought Clemmings and Cirles did better tonight than Kalil and Smith had done this season...
Yeah they missed a few things but all things considered I thought they did a pretty good job.
The offense got a little too cautious a few times but they did open things open with some screen passes and a few 20
plus yard shots...

OBJ held to the least amount of yards in forever
O-line put together with duct tape
Patterson got his touches
I could not have imagined a better outcome. If I'm in a coma, don't pull the plug!

Yup. Although he's only played two games so that's basically against Benjamin and OBJ. Still impressive.Boon wrote: is that on the season?

Keep in mind too that the Giants last year gave up a ton of big plays so this year they have gone to a "keep everything in front of you" approach on D and had one of the smaller (3-4?) amounts of 20+ yard plays in the league before last night.jackal wrote:Honestly I thought Clemmings and Cirles did better tonight than Kalil and Smith had done this season...

I was impressed with how the offense grew last night, Johnson producing and more Patetrson involved, and I cannot wait till the day that Treadwell emerges!
