Star Wars: The Force Unleashed *May Contain Spoilers*
Is anybody else going to go see it?
I'm a big enough fan to have seen all of the movies and played a few games and read a couple books, but I wouldn't consider myself a huge fan. I definitely want to see it, but it's not one of those things that I'm losing my mind over.
My best friend in the other hand has the Jedi symbol tattooed on his arm and bought a robe to wear while waiting in line. He bought an extra ticket, so I'll be at the first showing in my area.

I am afraid they will Jar Jar binks it up
I will probably see it because I liked the series...

Early reviews are overwhelmingly positive

Thats not a concern for me. I really like what they've done with the Marvel movies, so I have faith they can at least[/] make the better than the prequels.jackal wrote:The Disney thing really makes me non interested ..

It felt like a Star Wars movie, which is basically the best compliment it could receive.jackal wrote: so was it all politically correct and disney'ed out ??

I had a few criticisms but they were minor. The biggest one I had was I wanted MORE. At least another half hour, mainly for character development and relationship-building. I won't go into everything here because of spoilers. I wasn't disappointed.

Re: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
I saw it. It was pretty good, but I had some issues.
I didn't like the lack of a background story. I mean, HTF did the new evil 'force' come to be when they were essentially vanquished in Return of the Jedi?
Wasn't really a fan of the new villain. It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the subsequent years.
Also, I will not try to spoil it for others, but, the two protagonists seem to be a missed matched pair. Moreover, I was confused by how they seemed to be a position to utilize what was available to them so easily.

A Randy Moss fan for life. A Kevin Williams fan for life.

I know exactly what you mean in your last paragraph, Hardcore. I have theories, so I I figure Disney has plans to explain things better in the future. I really feel like all of the questions we had leaving the theater were intentionally left unaddressed, but I could be giving Abrams too much credit.

Same here. I've been a pretty big fan since 1977. I'm one of the few that enjoyed EPI-EPIII. But this movie felt like, home. It felt like I was reunited with a long lost friend. What I really like is there was no feeling that they overused CGI. Most of the scenes were filmed on location (or at least it felt like it). Yes, I wanted more. I guess we'll have to wait for EPVIII.

Re: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
I enjoyed the movie, it was a fun 2.5 hours but it did have flaws. I didn't really care for the new political environment that Abrams decided upon. Something similar to what Timothy Zahn had in Heir to the Empire would have been ideal.
