He's not my first choice. He's interesting and raw (sound familiar?). Some have likened him to A.J. Green, though. It helps that he's 6'6/220. He does have some apparent off-the-field baggage (two marijuana-related incidents at Mizzou. He was ultimately dismissed from that program after unlawfully forcing his way into an apartment seeking his girlfriend, and then pushing a different woman down stairs).
Based on talent alone, CBS Sports' Dane Brugler believes Oklahoma redshirt sophomore WR Dorial Green-Beckham "has the ability to be a similar pro prospect as A.J. Green and earn top-10 grades."

"Based on talent alone, Green-Beckham has the ability to be a similar pro prospect as A.J. Green and earn top-10 grades. But factoring in the character concerns, it would be unfair to stamp him with a round projection this early in the process," Brugler wrote. Josh Norris ranks Green-Beckham as the top wideout in this class, but Norris does not factor in off-field issues. Brugler adds that, if Green-Beckham "stays clean off the field, tests off-the-charts as expected at the NFL Combine and most importantly presents himself well during the interview process, it's not crazy to think he still has a chance at being a first round pick next spring.

These pundits are just throwing stuff at the wall and seeing if anything makes sense. There are at least 4 RB's that I would rather take a chance on than Yeldon. They have the Vikings doing everything but addressing the defense, which with the deep WR draft again this year, why would we take a WR with our first pick at 11? Not big time names but one or two to put further study into but will they be there? Scherff so far is the only player on offense unless Cooper is there that I would have to take.

Don't hate on my Buckeyes. Some of the best Vikings went to Ohio State.
Including now, HOF WR #80 Cris Carter

I wouldn't touch Dorial Green-Beckham with a ten foot pole. How often do these type of players work out? Calvin Johnson. The guy would make a better tight end. And then the off the field stuff? No thanks.

is it just me or does Clemmings seem like a very unlikely pick for the Vikes at #11?

I agree, but Rick likes athletic, high upside guys (Harvin, Peterson, Patterson, Webb, McKinnon, Robison).

I like that Kevin White put up such impressive numbers at the combine. I'd love it if the Raiders took him, letting Cooper fall to us. Am I right in seeing only the Raiders as teams likely to take a WR in picks 1 through 10?
