Premise,
Sorry for my english (I might make some mistakes)
I'm Matteo, from Verona, Italy (city of Juliet & Romeo, Pandoro and Arena)
I'm a American Football & Vikings fan since the Week 17/NFC Playoff 2009
Why I chose to support the Vikings?...So many reasons! Love at first sight
Follow many the games at midnight, it's hard, but i love this team and this sport!
Unfortunately, I did not go to London for international series but (in future) i want to come to Minneapolis. Maybe 2018?
I read this forum for a long time, in Italy we are not so many(Vikings Fan) and so it is rare to find reviews and discussions (especially for draft prospect)
This year i have a lot of confidence for this team, i believe in Zimmer & Spielman and i hope in another a good draft.
See you soon, Skol Vikings!

You'll be able to enjoy the new stadium if you come in a few years.

Welcome to the board!!! Nice to have some international flavor on here... there are a few others as well.
The Devil whispered in the Viking's ear, "There's a storm coming." The Viking replied, "I am the storm." #SKOL2018

That's cool.. 2009 was a cool year..
I have been watching since 90's
I went to the Monday night game
versus Green Bay in. 2009 we kicked
the Packers butts that year and swept
them.

I was bored of the soccer and i tried to watch other sport.Texas Vike wrote: I agree w/ your take quite closely. Bortles isn't worth a top 8 pick IMO (much less a trade up as pitched in another thread). How did you become a MN Vikings fan?
I have found in this sport a new passion.
Why i become a MN Vikings fan?
As I said above, so many reasons! Love at first sight (and it was a choice by instinct)
Because...
I love purple/blue with yellow (my bedroom is blue/yellow/purple and i support Hellas Verona and Fiorentina)
The most important player of Verona it's Preben Elkjaer, the Viking
I love landscapes of Minnesota (lake, rivers, ecc...)
I liked the history of name (and the logo)
For a episode from How I Met Your Mother
I don't like supporting the team most successful (I did not know that the Vikings came from a great season, that of 2009, but I had read the 0-4 record in Super Bowls)
I was impressed by Favre (during my first match, Giants@Vikings)
...and other things that I do not remember
I couldn't do better choice

That's fantastic. I had the great fortune of visiting your beautiful city many years ago. I hope for a long overdue return soon!MatteoSpace wrote: I was bored of the soccer and i tried to watch other sport.

Minneapolis is a wonderful city. I would recommend a visit between May and late September. Perhaps September would be best so that you can attend a Vikings game. Welcome to the board once again.
