I like the move too. His bat is just too valuable to have him squatting behind the plate, taking foul tips off the facemask and the other wear and tear. The one thing though...for 1B you want a decent amount of power, like at least 20 HRs. Maybe Joe will start swinging for the fences a little more? I doubt it.
