"There will be 13-15 players picked in the first round that are true first-rounders," he said. "That's a fairly low number."
Last year, according to the general manager, there were 20-23 players who were true first-rounders. That's about average
Sounds like a lot more realistic take then all the hype that builds up, especially this year and how "deep" this draft is suppose to be (ie watered down).
And how sixty players are first rounders. And thirty top twenty guys. And how the draft is 2 or 3 rounds deep.
But like every take on the draft, we'll see in 5 years!
That's like I was saying in another post. There will be at least six offensive lineman taken in the first round. It doesn't look like there are any truly 1st round QBs in the draft. There's maybe one great running back. A crop of wide receivers, the top several of which are gambles and the ones behind those have no clear favorites.
It may be a good draft to trade down and have all of your picks in rounds 3-5.

haha, if we could trade both firsts for 2 2nd's and 2 3rd's!
I wouldn't even say there's one good running back, if you meant that back is eddie lacy. Everyone's talking about the bama O-line dominating ND and everyone else, who's to say Lacy didn't benefit from that greatly?
It makes sense though, if there are only 13-15 "first rounders" there must be a butt load of 2nd or 3rd rounders.
