Re: Bills vs Vikings game - the official thread
I wish the NFL Game pass would use the same type of tech I developed (well, was part of a team of 3, I did all the .NET code) 5 years ago for MLB. We did this thing that streamed 6 games simultaneously, and you could get stats for each (and sound if you selected a stream), plus set up custom favorite player tickers that would give you updates about your guys. I thought it was awesome for fantasy football, but MLB messed it up by being ultra-restrictive about blackouts. Still, I'd totally sign up for something like that for NFL.

From sampling this game alone, it seems the Vikings have their own Sanchez/Tebow combo!
Just kidding. But also, not totally kidding. At least ours have far less irritating personalities.

Just like NFL Sunday ticket. But half (?) the cost. And access to all the preseason. And access to any game that has already been played this year. I haven't checked back, but I may be able to watch the packers get humiliated in the playoffs last year.Demi wrote: Is that the one that's going to give access to the all 22 as well, or was that something else?

I haven't tried, but they advertise a 2x 2 screen with four games. Done the 2x1. And stats and scores are available, which I turned off. I didn't see anything about following fantasy players though.Rus wrote:I wish the NFL Game pass would use the same type of tech I developed (well, was part of a team of 3, I did all the .NET code/xml serialization/connection stuff) 5 years ago for MLB. Ok, enough Webb. Let's see some MBT or Sage already.

Wow McKenzie just dropped that dude.

The Vikings never really utilized a kickoff specialist. They brought in Rhys Lloyd as a potential specialist but he never panned out and was cut.Rus wrote:All I can say is, I'm glad the days that the Vikings have to keep a kickoff specialist because their regular kicker is only good from 45 or less and can't get the ball into the end zone is a good thing. They needed that extra roster spot this year, and they probably needed it the past several years. However, I didn't have a problem with it at the time because they just needed decent field position. But getting both combined into one? Such a novelty!

First string, second string... I don't know about you, but this Vikings team needs to prove to me that they can score td's, not just fg's.

True, but this has been great experience for our rookie kicker. The more preseason FG attempts he gets, the better.John_Viveiros wrote:this Vikings team needs to prove to me that they can score td's, not just fg's.

^^^^ Nice
Tough break for Devin Aromashodu tonight. Had a PI penalty that wasn't called, couple balls that were thrown to far out of bounds, and a ball thrown way behind him.

If the Vikes lose this one, I'll be disappointed in the result, but not in their performance.
