Only shortsighted if the Wolves do not fulfill their commitment to winning, yes. I think they will, and I think in the end, we will be a dominant team in the coming years.

@kevinlove's contract is a four-year deal... Team can extend Love during third year for up to two years, making total commitment six yrs.

Eh...ever since he left StarTrib, Zulgad has been more of a blogger and less of a journalist. He's reading too much into things and injecting his opinion into what he writes (like his belief that the Vikes were going to switch to a 3-4 defense, and saying that Pagac was done with the team, which were both wrong). I liked him as a StarTrib reporter but ever since he moved to the ESPN radio gig he's turned me off and I really don't take him seriously anymore.
I see no big fuss over Love getting a 4 year deal (with opt-out) instead of a 5. Do you really think that if he got the 5 year deal and the team was still stuck in the mud after 3 years that he would just sit quietly? Heck no, he'd demand a trade. Regardless of what deal he got, the pressure is on the team to turn things around quickly and become competitive.
Yes, very nice back to back wins against some quality opponents. Really played well as a team tonight. Man, once Pek gets on a roll, look the F out. That guy is an absolute monster. He tends to get some stupid fouls called on him and sometimes he makes stupid fouls but he seems to be improving with increased minutes. I won't be surprised one bit if he stays the starting center.
Rubio & Love... don't really need to comment, great finish from both of them.
Nice to see Webster get some minutes too. Looked pretty good for just coming back from surgery.
Beasley looked good to start out then kind of fell into the same routine that we're used to seeing. I'll give him a few games to try and find himself before making a knee jerk reaction like trade him or bench him.
Also, it's so hard to predict the rotation when everyone becomes healthy. A lot of guys have stepped it up. Not a bad problem to have I suppose.
Next up: LAL on Sunday. Should be a fun one to watch.

True, but I read that both Kobe and Pau played a ton of minutes last night. Plus they have a pretty poor record on the road this year (1-7), so good news for the Wolves.
Ehhh...I 'spose you can call that one a moral victory? At one point they were down like 18 points and had a huge run to come back and tie it up. I don't think any of the Wolves teams in recent years could've done that.
It'll take a couple years, but this team will be a contender. Remember, this is just year one of Adelman and also Rubio. Future looks very bright.

Just noticed today looking at the standings...the Wolves are arguably in the toughest division in the league. Every team has double-digit wins.
What's the deal with Derrick Williams? Has Adelman just decided that he's not ready yet? He's been almost invisible for the last stretch of games.
Good job closing out a back-to-back with 2 wins. Don't think we've done that this year, or in awhile I'm sure.
Also, I think Adelman has been trying a lot of mix and match combinations with our SF and PF to see what kind of production everyone can bring to the table. I'm getting a little tired of Wes Johnson though tbh, did anyone see him foul Morrow on the 3 last night opening up a 4 point play to keep the Nets in the game? Pretty bad. I'd like to see Williams get more minutes as the season moves along because I don't think Beasley is in our long-term plans.

That's for sure. It's great to find a center with that much promise who is also only in his 2nd season. The pieces seem to be falling into place.
The whole Love facestomping incident is ridiculous. The Rockets' TV commentators are OBVIOUSLY biased and I LOL'd when immediately after seeing it real-time, the announcer said "Oh ya, I'll be surprised if he doesn't get suspended. That was a dirty play". Absurd, Love was starting to go back down the court and put his foot down and there was a guy laying there. Some of these Euro guys are embarrassing floppers, obviously taking a page from their soccer roots.
