Possible alternative to SopCast?

Run into some old friends from another group or board? Want to do a little schmoozing, talk over old times? Or just some off topic stuff, then this is the place.

Possible alternative to SopCast?

Post by S197 »

Since SopCast seems to have let us down last week, I've been looking for alternatives. I found this website, which says they will be streaming all Viking (and every other) NFL games.

http://www.sportstvlive.us/

Cost is $19.99 for 12 months. Would be worth it if it guarantees you can watch every game. Anyone have any experience with this website?

Their NFL Schedule here: http://www.sportstvlive.us/NFL.html

No idea. Doesn't seem to be any trial period and I haven't found anyone that has tried their service yet.

You could try it... $19.99 probably wouldn't make you or break you , you know what I mean?
The Devil whispered in the Viking's ear, "There's a storm coming." The Viking replied, "I am the storm." ‪#‎SKOL2018

Interesting. The owner is from Sussex, UK. Site created just a few months ago. It looks promising, but I sure would like a free weekend trial or something to see how it worked before forking over money. I don't think it would get the traffic that the free stuff does, so it would probably run a little smoother.

Or they could just run wild with your credit card number... sorry, hate to be a downer, but be smart.

Just make sure to pay via paypal and they never get your CC number.

Right now I'm in the process of buying a house so I'm not spending even $20.

However, for that price I'm willing to take a gamble since I don't see very many Vikings games each year. This would be awesome.

I plan on closing my house in the next few weeks, if I do before someone else tries this, I'll let you know how it is.

Yeah, I probably will but I just wanted to run it by the board to see if anyone has already tried it out.

From the site description, it looks like they don't accept paypal. The payment transactions are handled by Google Checkout.

The site looks brand new and the forums are sparsley utilized yet.

Except by the guy who has the little script kiddy forum signature. And the "james" guy, who if you look at a couple other sites a guy named "James" was saying how great the service was at this site.

I'd be leery personally, if they can't get the cc number might be worth a try though.

I may go this route:
The Sound Money Tips weblong says rather than avoiding online shopping for fear of identity theft, shoppers should get used to using virtual credit cards, aka substitute credit cards or controlled payment numbers.

Most numbers generated by your company's software are either one-time use, have a small spending limit, or are limited to one online merchant.

DISCLAIMER: I have not tried this yet and have no idea if there is a service charge. Check with your CC company for further info.
