You most definitly would enjoy training camp, I have been there for a couple years running now, and it is a great way to meet players, get autographs, this is especially good if you have kids, mine love it :). It was a little bit lacking without Randy this year, but still a ton of fun.

Thanks for the hospitality, It's nice that there is such a warm community here!

You're right ... it is a fun board. I just started posting a week or so ago and I'm enjoying the give-and-take very much.

I just looked at this part (the Bar) of the board a few nights ago, so I didn't see the invite to introduce oneself. I'm 42 and have been a Vikings fan since I was 8. Part of me is sorry I didn';t find this board sooner, and part of me is glad I didn't ... because I would have spent way too much time on it.

I guess I forgot to introduce myself as well.

I am 29 and live in Shakopee Minnesota. I am a computer programmer / web developer in Eagan MN. In my spare time I race R/C cars and trucks.
I am also getting into flying R/C aircraft as well (As soon as the snow melts).

Cool, Didn't know you lived out there. We go through there about once a year. The wife feels we need to visit the Casino once a year during Vikings season. :)

Welcome aboard.

I have a son-in-law who is nuts about the R/C planes, etc. It's an expensive hobby but a very cool one, I enjoy watching their construction and flight. He's also a pilot so it was a natural pick for him.

Shakopee is a nice place, an old town with a lot of history. I haven't been there in a while... should take a drive that way again.

Shakopee is a really growing fast. Both retail wise and residential. It is no longer just the small town with a horse race track and Valley Fair.

This weekend I just got back from racing R/C cars and trucks down in Fort Dodge IA. It was really a blast with 106 entries to race.

Hey all,

My name is Matt, I am from Winnipeg, Manitoba, I am 24 years old, and grew up cheering for the Vikes.

I am a diehard Bombers fan, but I pull for the Vikes in the NFL.

There are a lot of similarities between Vikings fans, and Bomber fans, both great sets of fans.

Good luck in 06' 8)
