I agree 100% and they really need to put a salary cap in baseball. What was it last year when they spend over $400 million more money than every other team in baseball other than the sox and mets.Demi wrote:Well, they are just steroid bullies that paid for playoff wins. (at least that's how some look at it)
Which if true...makes the regular season in MLB pretty darn silly when it means so much to buy/cheat for playoff wins...but that money and liquid strength can't even get you a regular season record above a puny small ball club?

I think Yanks will beat the Twins in 3. So get your broomsticks out.

I think they have a much better team this year then in playoffs past. They'll give up runs, but the Twins have enough bats to score this time. I don't think they'll be the pushovers like usual.

+2. I will not give up hope until the last out of the last game of the series.

Justin Morneau is still out??? Can he even pitch hit? I think that would be worth something having his bat in play and just pinch run him if he gets on base.

He has been ruled out for the rest of the season, not on the 25 man playoff roster. I have a feeling his playing days are behind him.Iron Man Favre wrote:Justin Morneau is still out??? It makes me mad how foolish I am for spending money on playoff tickets. What an idiot.
See you next year, Twins.

Boy, for some reason, that game really bugged me. I was feeling pretty optimistic before the game, but not so much after. Go Twins!

We have the bats to keep up with them, but with our pitching, especially against the Yanks, we'll have to score 6-10 runs to win a game. I thought with Liriano throwing we had a chance last night, guess not. We'll get swept.

Carl needs to step up tonight and prove his worth, IMO. He's done it all year, but this is the playoffs.
At least they didn't lose because of Gardy making dumb pitching mves. Apparently Michael Cuddyer is the only one who wanted to show up last night.

^Yea. It was a realitivly good game, but its pretty much a fact, if we score under 5-6 runs, its going to be tough to win. This is definately a must win, hoping, but not holding my breath.
