Growing up with these guys (the cartoons, the action figures, etc.) I was pleasantly surprised with the first movie. Especially when I heard Optimus Prime speak and have the same voice as I remembered (which was required, IMO). But I've heard some really bad reviews about the second one (and some monumentally hokey scenes). I don't want to see it if that's the case. I don't want part of my soul crushed like after watching Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal ####. I don't know if I could take it again.
So let's hear some reviews!

Transformers 2--Yey or Nay?
“Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I assure you, it's much more serious than that.” --- Bill Shankly
Re: Transformers 2--Yey or Nay?
Haven't seen it but this is what I've heard from most people:
If you liked the first one, you'll like the second.
If you like lots of action, you'll like the movie.
If you're looking for a good storyline, you'll be disappointed.

Who goes to a Michael Bay movie for the storyline? The same people that subscribe to porno mags for the articles?
I couldn't see it because it was sold out, but I have had several people just SAVAGE this movie.
Me personally, I'm going to Public Enemies.

Re: Transformers 2--Yey or Nay?
it was a definate downgrade from the first
I saw it today with my boys and they threw in a bunch of dumb down humor
for the masses I quess.
Hey if nothing else Megan Fox looks incredible in it. I honestly liked the first movie
and didn't enjoy the second one much. The storyline and plot were pretty weak IMO
mostly action and close up on Megan Fox which I didn't mind too much.

I didnt really care for the first one much so i doubt I will like this one.
If you want a funny one, go see The Hangover, its pretty funny.
Went and saw The Taking of Pelham 123 and thought it was really good.

Hangover was funny.
I don't know, I'm afraid of Travolta's overacting. Sometimes it can be good(Face/Off), other times it can be cheese, sublime cheese but cheese nevertheless(Swordfish), and other times...
Yeah. Rented that one. I didn't just want a refund from Blockbuster, I wanted, like, a validation of my existence. The fact that I actually paid any amount of money to watch something that bad made me feel less human somehow.

It was really a scheme to infest people with body thetans.
Edit: I am thinking of getting a little drunk before seeing that Ice Age movie on Sunday just because it is in 3D. Something tells me that this is a bad idea, but I'm doing it anyhow. I blame it on thetans.

I liked it, but liked the first one better. It was too difficult to tell what exactly was moving and changing when they would go from machine form to "person" form.
edit: I saw a preview for GI Joe at the theater. One question I have, is why do all of these movies destroy the Eiffel Tower? Is there a vandetta against it?
