I hope to be a regular poster this year as I have been a lifelong Vikings fan although on a regular basis they have nearly ripped my heart out with some of their disappointing loses over the years. The Purple People Eaters with Fran Trakenton took me so close to the edge of winning the big game only to fold when it counted most. I can still remember 74, 75 and 77.
I am also a Detroit Red Wings fan and although I do remember their win in 1955 the one in 96-97 was something very special that only a true fan could appreciate and I am sure I will get the same feeling should the Vikes ever win the big game.
Anyway enough of the old let's look to the future. Anyone have any suggestions on the needs. I say it starts at backs. QB, then we need CB's and FS's.
Anyway it has been nice talking, looking for a great year.
PS:- Would love to attend one of the tailgates but I am a little to far away down in Nova Scotia, but still love the Vikes.
Hoping to meet new friends who love Viking football

I like the Red Wings too, although I haven't been into them as much since we got the Wild.
But, its good to have you aboard, Someday, hopefully we can change the name of this board to "Your World Champion Minnesota Vikings Forum"!!!

The Devil whispered in the Viking's ear, "There's a storm coming." The Viking replied, "I am the storm." #SKOL2018

Welcome,
If only the Vikes could have one-tenth the success of the Red Wings, we'd all be on Cloud Nine.

The "W" is pronounced like a "V" in Germanic languages, but I guess I should have just used willkommen in that case.Swaps wrote: i thought it was Velcommen.

In Scandinavian languages, one often sees velkommen or välkommen.
Of course, Vikings are Norse rather than Scandinavian. The last area of Norse culture is in Iceland, which now have the Icelandic language, which is a Scandinavian language. It is written velkominn in Icelandic.
The Norse used a runes alphabet.
