The owner is going to file the papers to officially start the process. It would require league approval. I don't know if that means Stern's OK or approval from the other owners or what. The article didn't say.
The Sonics have been there forever, what a shame.
Oklahoma CIty SuperSonics?

I am not surprised Seattle does not want to support
them with a new stadium.
I am pretty sure the Kings will leave Sacramento at
some point as well. The Maloofs want to take them to
Vegas if the league will let them.

Which I don't know that the league will do after the debacle that the All Star Game was last year.jackal wrote:I am pretty sure the Kings will leave Sacramento at some point as well. The Maloofs want to take them to Vegas if the league will let them.

Re: not
They're still paying for the Mariners and Seahawks bills. The cost for it was just way too high, especially when they just renovated the Key Arena about 10 years ago for a lot of dough. They didn't need a new arena. Too bad there's alway a new town to turn to in order to get a free venue; they'll just say the Ford Center is outdated in 10 years anyways and now OK City will be footing the bill for a new stadium.jackal wrote:I am not surprised Seattle does not want to support
