(CBS4) FORT LUPTON, Colo. Violaters of the city of Fort Lupton's noise ordinance were in for a big surprise this past Friday. The city's judge sentenced citizens who have been busted for being too loud to 1 hour of listening to unpopular or unusual music.

Unbelievable. I would not be caught in that court again. Karen Carpenter and Barry Manilow? I would try to find a place to hang myself.

That cracked me up.

My Wife asked, "Is that allowed inder the law?" :)

I'm thinking... at least I know all the words to those old songs...

I guess the younger generation wouldn't do well with that stuff, but I had to lock up my Brubeck, Hendrix, Muddy Waters, Otis Span, Supreams, etc. LPs to keep my kids from walking off with them... the younger generation does like some "old" music.

Those bands you listed are good music though. The Carpenters are just plain terrible. Right in line with the Bee Gees in my book.

My astronomy teacher did that in High School.

If we got detention we had to stay after class in his room for 1 hour and listen to Barry Manliow.
