I know it might not be the coolest thing in the world
my plant General Manger(my boss's boss's -boss
was walking through the really late last night. He saw me
and walked around 50 yards out of his way and asked me
how I was doing and told me how great I was doing according to
what bosses have told him in meetings. I know it was just a
cheezy adda-boy thing but it makes me feel good to know
they realize I work very hard.

That would never happen where I work. Anyone above my boss (there are at least 7 peopole above him) never sayd boo to anyone unless you have an actual office. It is sad.
That does feel good when it happens, I agree.

You should be proud that they came and talked to you. Most large companies have no idea who the employee might be. I head up a Security division for a large company and the only time they know we are around is when they have problems.
