Can anyone recommend a good bar before the Viking /Detriot game ? We are staying at the Marquette hotel..so any bar around there or closer to the Metrodome would be fine. Any help is appreciated.

Hubert's is right across the street from the Dome on Chicago Avenue South. Try Grumpy's on Washington Ave. also. If you want to walk a little farther down Washington there is Bullwinkle's. In fact there are a lot of good bars East of the Dome on Washington. If it is a Noon game they will open at 9AM.

Thanks! Do you know if there are any good places (that open by 9AM) to go around the marquette hotel and maybe take a taxi/light rail to the game? The game is at 1.

I would suggest getting to the Dome earlier rather than later to avoid the crowds on the light rail.



It's at noon. Any site listing it at 1 is listing in Eastern time, not Central.
