I think they've had the talent to do considerably better than that, especially against weak opposition. For example, they got 60+ games against what were mostly lousy Lions, Bears, and Vikings teams in that stretch.

He's 46-17 against those 3 teams so I'd say he'd done pretty well:

14-7 against the Bears
15-6-1 against the Vikings
17-4 against the Lions

I am reluctantly ok with this since i am going to the texans game.

Its very unfortunate when these legendary/generational players go down and miss out on a season to add to their legacy. Also, i go to so few games that i still get gitty seeing these great players out on the field.

yeah I picked up Gordon in a Fantasy leaque in hopes he would catch fire...

Yeah, that's truly impressive. The Falcons are good this year!
Last year they went six and 0 and then tanked the second half of the year.
I will wait and see how the Falcons handle the second half of the season.
