Josh Norman deal and reality

Post by jackal »

I think he is a good pro bowl player that looked better due to the good defenders around him.

The Redskins have a poor defense in comparison and I would imagine Norman will be placed
on shadowing both Beckham and Dex Bryant twice each year. I know Beckham got kicked out
of the game last season but IMO he was winning the match up in production at least.

IMO part of the reason Norman took the deal was to go against Beckham specifically.

I think the Redskins overpaid but did land a good CB in the deal.

Norman is a lot of bark and not much bite. My guess is he will fall back to mediocrity next year because last year was the exception to the rest of his career and Washington's D isn't very good so he wont have much help like he did in Carolina. Terrible contract, too, because Norman is already 28!

the redskins have probably the worst history in the NFL for free agents
with signings in the last two decades. No matter what Norman gets fifty
million. so 3.23 years paid in full.
