It's not official yet but if you read the article, it sounds like more than just unsubstantiated rumors.

Its the smart thing to do. Use the money for investments and live healthily until you are 75 rather than bust your #### till you are nearly 40 and be a blubbering mass by 60

Playing in the NFL just wreaks havoc on you. I hope the little I played (but 2 concussions in HS) dont come back to haunt me.

I wouldn't be too surprised he didn't seem to be into playing last season.

One of my favorite non-Vikings, maybe my favorite non-Viking. Sad to see him go but I think it's his time.
