@AdamSchefter NFL is suspending Raiders' LB Aldon Smith one year for his role in an Aug. 28 incident, per league source.

‏@AdamSchefter For first time this spring, NFL expected to allow teams to begin trading compensatory draft picks, per NFL sources. Should be more trades.

Cackling and rubbing his hands together with a white cat while Zimmer stands silently behind him like a henchman

Watched a little of the Titans and jaguars game tonight. Unis looked haarable. Is this something that the NFL is forcing teams to wear for Thursday night games? Not sure how I'm going to feel watching the Vikings play in their Jammies.

I have to give credit where it is due:

Tampa looks very good lately. Jameis Winston really is coming on strong for them, and their defense is actually not playing that badly either.

Cam Newton is a beast this season. He has turned into a great QB and his team is (soon to be) 10-0 because of it. Credit to the Panthers' coaching staff for crafting an offense that suits him well. On a similar note, does Carolina play any good teams this year???

You can ask the same question about the Patriots.

Also, Brock Osweiler looks really good for Denver. I wonder if that will give Peyton more time to get "healthy"?

I think both teams have a legitimate shot at 16-0. Especially NE though. Their schedule is a joke.

some interesting things already this week. Cowgirls win over Miama. Brocko's are pretty decent without Manning, 2 huge blowouts so far....

The #Broncos are signing QB Christian Ponder, source said, who is in town today. He'll start as the No. 3, then learn the offense.
Just a few plays away from Ponder leading the Broncos!

Good for Ponder! I wish him well. I hope he can stick on that roster even after Manning is healthy.
