over/under on bears wins this season? I'd set it at 6, and probably take the under.

Really tough break.

The Bears were already seriously terrible.

I hope 4 of them are in the division and none are against the Vikings.

with White out ...if Cutler does not play real good.. The bears could get swept in this division.

The lions have looked better than I thought so far.

No, he really hasnt.

Cutler's best year was in 2008, his last year with Denver, he was 25-18 TD INT ratio with a passer rating of 86.0, he did have 4000+ yards but when you throw 18 picks and have a rating of 86.0 its a tough sell to call it 'real good'.

Sure he has... you didn't ask if he'd had really good seasons. :D That's debatable but there's no doubt he's played really well at times in his career.

I think the Bears ability to compete and succeed this year is probably going to have at least as much to do with their running game as with Cutler anyway. Fox is known as a coach who likes to run the ball and considering the mountain their defense needs to climb to get back to respectability, I think the Bears will probably try to lean on their running game, control the tempo of games and keep their defense off the field. Whether they can do that or not is questionable but I fully expect a big commitment to the run from Chicago this season.

Good point Jim, if i may call you that. But I would stand by my assessment that Cutler never had an entire season that I would think would be categorized as 'real good'.

I agree especially with their first round pick undergoing surgery. I thin Fox is a damn fine head coach and wil make the Bears a respectable football team if given the time to do so, but man, i just see a rather distinct lack of talent on their roster and I just cant see them being anything less then one of te worst teams in the league this year.
