John Fox to Chicago?
It's not official yet but all indications are that Fox will be the Bears next head coach. I was thinking about it and if that happens, it will make Zimmer the only head coach in the division that hasn't won a conference championship and been a head coach in the Super Bowl. That isn't necessarily significant... just interesting.

Not quite yet... it sounds like a deal is being finalized but there hasn't been any official announcement from the team.Purpnation wrote: It is official.

Hmm? Well I certainly apologize then.

No need to apologize. It's no big deal.

Yep... it's on the Bears website too.
It doesn't look like it's going to get any easier for Mike Zimmer to improve his record against the NFC North.

Much of Fox's success was because of his QB. As long as Chicago still has Jay Cutler, I'm not too worried.Mothman wrote: Yep... it's on the Bears website too.

Fox went to the superbowl with Delhomme and won a playoff game with Tim Tebow.
I think the Bears made a good choice.

I am pleased the Bears got him because I think that he sucks. Remember that he was 2-14 when he last coached the Panthers and he made many boneheaded calls in his tenure with the Broncos. The Breeze wrote:Fox went to the superbowl with Delhomme and won a playoff game with Tim Tebow.

Living near Denver and watching most all of their games I can testify to that: Here is one example: http://www.joshmcdanielssucks.com/2013/ ... os-season/

Fox far from sucks, he has been to two SBs, one with Delhomme, and one with one of the biggest playoff chokers in league history, its not his fault Peyton McNoodle arm couldn't throw farther then 15 yards in the SB.
However, he isn't exactly great, at least not yet. I think his tenure in Chi will be somewhere around mediocre to average.

Fox is the one HC I didn't want to see in Chicago. I think they are immediately a better team.

Seems like they just hired another Lovie Smith.
