Fox fired in Denver
I have a feeling Denver did this to entice Manning to come back one more year. Had they not done that, Gase would go to another team, and Manning would have to learn a new offense... probably not worth it at his age. This way, they keep Gase and (for them) hopefully Manning.

It's funny how the league works. All these teams looking to hire new coaches hurrying to fill their voids and now a guy like Fox comes available with probably nowhere to go.
Re: Fox fired in Denver
Reports are that fox is a strong candidate for Chicago.
As for the gase speculation, it's very possible. But they also gave the green light to their entire coaching staff to pursue other offers for any job. Odd move to make if you don't want gase to go anywhere, as he can now interview for OC positions as a fail safe incase he doesn't get a head coaching gig.

I'm guessing he'll get interest from one of the teams looking for a coach. I wonder if he'd be a good fit in SF.The Breeze wrote:It's funny how the league works. Interesting. Considering his track record, that might just make our tough division tougher.saint33 wrote:Reports are that fox is a strong candidate for Chicago.

He turned down interview requests from the Jets according to Adam Schefter.

Misoverestimated? That is redundant and repetitive I kiid! The Breeze wrote:

I'm a bit surprised that they let Fox go after the record he's put up since arriving in Denver, though. Who knows, maybe that was a lot of luck and even more Peyton Manning. I'd still hate to see Fox go to Chicago, though.
