wow...look at Rofolburgers line with 5 minutes to play:
40-49 522 and 6tds no picks
Luck 400 and 3tds but got picked late
Foles with 411 and 2 tds
Brady 30-35 354 and 5tds
nuts
could be a big night in New Orleans

after that first qtr I thought he was headed for the record books. Happy with the result
Too bad for the division they have a bye coming up...a gimpy rodgers throwing picks is must see tv.

Rodgers looked phenomenal in that first quarter. He bugs the heck out of me because:
1.) He's so confident it borders on smug
2.) he's able to back that attitude up with his play
3.) He's a Green Bay Packer.
It's sad that a relatively bad night for Rodgers still consists of going 28/39 for 418 yards passing, 1 TD and 2 INTs.

He's a brilliant talent...no doubt. And he knows it I actually enjoy watching someone in that capacity. Love it when we beat him...but it hasn't been frequent enough lately.Mothman wrote:

I've said it here before in the past that I spent all of Montana's career despising him and the niners. I regret that now to some degree because he was something with how cool and precise he was.
The Packers are so funny to me because they were the definition of irrelevant through much of my life and then they wind up with back to back HOFers at QB.
I'm trying to think of another example of a team going from one to another like that with no one in between.

You mentioned half of the most obvious example above: Montana and Young. The Breeze wrote:He's a brilliant talent...no doubt. And he knows it I actually enjoy watching someone in that capacity. Love it when we beat him...but it hasn't been frequent enough lately.

The Colts may have pulled off the same trick GB did, but it's too early to tell.
I know what you mean about appreciating these special players and I try to do that too. I even do it with Rodgers, although I hate watching him succeed. That's purely because of the team he plays for though... he's an amazing QB.

I think Luck is going to be a great as well.
Bledsoe to Brady isn't half bad either.
interestingly enough David Woodley took the Dolphins to the Superbowl in one of the 3 seasons between Griese and Marino.
That's my research for the day.

WOW Rofolburger with 6 more TD passes. Steelers are rolling right now.

Yes, I'm glad the Vikes don't have to face them. The Breeze wrote:WOW Rofolburger with 6 more TD passes. Steelers are rolling right now.
What's up with Miami destroying San Diego? That blowout/shutout was unexpected!
The NFL can be so unpredictable...

The two games against Chicago might be the two easiest games remaining on the schedule! wouldn't have thought that!Mothman wrote: Yes, I'm glad the Vikes don't have to face them.

Chargers seemed to have gotten off track the last few weeks.....but that was a stomping. Miami is looking legit right now.Mothman wrote: Yes, I'm glad the Vikes don't have to face them.

I agree with Fiesta about the bears....they seem to be imploding some.
NFL is weird..,,
Re: Amazing QB stats week 8
They do but who knows? In a few weeks maybe they'll get hot although if they do, I hope it happens after they play the Vikes. The Steelers were playing at a .500 pace through 6 games and had lost 2 of 3.. now they've won 3 straight and scored 124 points in those 3 wins! That's just 5 less than the Raiders have scored all season. The Breeze wrote: Chargers seemed to have gotten off track the last few weeks.....but that was a stomping. Miami is looking legit right now.

You just never know what the heck is going to happen in the NFL.
Miami is definitely looking legit. That might be one the tougher games remaining on the Vikings schedule. On the other hand, if the Bears keep struggling, those two games, the Jets game, the Panthers game all look very winnable. They're probably all thinking the same thing about the Vikes.
Re: Amazing QB stats week 8
Miami's defense is no joke. That's going to be a very tough game for our guys.
