I don't see anything wrong with it. He admitted he didn't know the rules. And at worst...the 49ers get the touchdown they would have got anyway. And it would have been hilarious!

Exactly! I'm certain he wasn't serious anyway. I highly doubt he would have done it had it come to that.

Well at least had he done it, it would have taken the pressure off the NFL for the lights going out. Would have been funny to see.
