Post by Cliff »

NFL legend Junior Seau was found dead in his home in Oceanside, CA ... and cops are investigating a shooting ... multiple law enforcement sources tell TMZ.

Cops are currently at Seau's home just outside San Diego. Seau was 43-years-old ... and leaves behind 3 kids and an ex-wife.

Seau is the eighth member of the Chargers 1994 Super Bowl team to pass.

Looking like a suicide ... apparently him driving off of a cliff a while back wasn't just an accident. Very sad.

Did he fall on hard times financially?

I don't think so. One of the reports I read said he's got his own clothing line and has been running a resturant since 1996. If there are financial problems it hasn't been reported at all yet.

This is a very sad story indeed. This guy is a legend and will be a first ballot HOF for sure.

Sobering stat: Junior Seau is the 8th member of that Chargers Super Bowl team to die before the age of 45.

This is terrible.
Did he have concussions while he was playing? I wonder if that affected him somehow? Wow, I can't believe he conitted suicide.

RIP.

Shefter reported he was never listed with a concussion on the injury report, but that doesn't mean he didn't sustain them.

Definitely a day that makes me question watching this sport I love. I hope it's not concussion related.

My condolences go out to Junior's family, especially his mom. No parent wants to have to bury their child. But in saying all of that, I'm sorry but this was a selfish and cowardly act by Junior. Not only does he leave behind a grieving mother, but he also leaves 3 children without a father. I believe that he took the cowards way out of whatever he was going through and an act like taking your own life is not rewarded with "resting in peace"...
