Just about any of those guys would be upgrades over what the Vikings have now. A mid-round pick at safety and someone like Tyvon Branch could get them back on track.

I've always liked Michael Griffin. They're probably right about him not having lived up to his first round draft status, but he's been solid.

Pretty much. If we're not able to find at least one capable FA safety this year then something is wrong. Redskins cut Atogwe now too, though he was apparently wrecked with injuries last year.
