What to do with Slaton?

Post by S197 »

This guy is killing me, now he gets benched for Moats who had a great game. Should I grab Moats? Start Mendenhall against a good Denver D? Also have Sproles but LT looks like he's back.

I feel your pain. I have Ryan Grant, Adrian and Chester and Steve Slaton.

I dont know what i am going to do either. I dont see him being completely ignored in Houston's offense but he has to hold onto the football. I wouldnt cut him but i would have a plan B. Maybe handcuff with Moats or grab another RB off waivers. I think i may go the waiver route but like i said i am in no way cutting Slaton. And to think i passed on Chris Johson and took Slaton.

Alright I managed to get Moats off the waivers. So between Moats, Slaton, Mendenhall, and Sproles, who would you start? Just need one.

I am going with Slaton at least one more week. They have the bye after this week IIRC. I am thinking, well praying, that Slaton has a breakout game. I just have a feeling that everyone in Houston would rather have him playing than sitting. If he cleans up the fumbles i think he will be alright.

I'd go with Mendenhall just to be safe. Only guy who's the clear cut #1 and while he hasn't had any huge games, he's at least not bombed like Slaton managed.

Well, Moats was named the starter today. I'd still lean towards Mendenhall, but interesting to see. Coach said they'd still share snaps though.

Probably too Risky this week to start Slaton, though
I wouldn't be suprised at all to see him have a big
game.

He was on my team last year and the same thing
happened around midseason. Kubiak is most likely
just trying to fire him up, they will need his
playmaking down the stretch, and Moats is not the
answer for them.

Sad thing for Slaton is Moats will probably cut into
his workload a bit.

Though after being worth one point for me one week,
a few after he exploded and got me to the playoffs
singlehandedly. So don't count him out.

Though I'm glad i passed on him for Drew Brees. I
remember screaming curses at Kubiak every time
Ahmahn Green would touch the ball all last year.

Somehow though, Slaton turned those 10-15 touches
into big points though.

G/L with him.
