Who's Gonna Dance With The Devil: Picking Jerome Simpson Up
Simpson is a free agent. I have Martellus Bennett, Dennis Pitta, Donnie Avery and Pierre Garcon. I'm totally looking to cut Avery and get Simpson as a free agent and start him against the Lions. I feel like Simpson could very easily have a 100 yard game and tons of catches in my PPR league. Am I nuts or what?
I can get him this Wednesday, that is when free agency starts again.

I'm considering grabbing him and putting him on my bench. It'll be interesting to see how he gets used. I'm curious to see how many actual targets he gets. We have a large bench and I'm not using quite a few guys on it anyways.

Depends on how deep your league is and if you think anyone else will pick him up, but I'd wait. I'm more of a "wait-and-see" guy the first week with an unknown guy. Of course, I was that way with Brown from the Giants this week and I'm going to lose both games due to benching him and starting what I felt was a more "consistent" player. It's entirely a gut call. I can see him getting 2 receptions for 47 yards, but also 4 for 81 and a score. But don't expect a HUGE game for him, especially right out of the gate. There's still Harvin, Rudolph and AD that will be fed. I'd consider him a WR4/5 right now, with upside.

With guys coming back for the Giants I am iffy on Bennett. My starting guy is probably Pitta or Garcon. Yuck. Simpson as a two guy if I can drop Avery for him makes sense.
I feel for you on Brown. I dropped my RB4, Jonathon Dwyer and got him. He got 29 points in my league but I wanted to start Sproles instead. Awful, awful call that cost me 23 points.
