If Hundley And Bridgewater don't declare

I've been thinking about this over the day after going over some QBs available in this draft. If the two of them don't declare this off season, I honestly think it would be in the Vikings best interest to just forgo drafting an early QB in this draft. Reminds me a little of the last time we took a QB, the draft class turned out to be pretty obviously weaker at the QB position, but we so desperately needed a signal caller that we reached to take Ponder. One year later, Andrew Luck, RG3, Tannehill, Wilson and Foles were all available, but the Vikings were locked into Ponder.

If Bridgewater and Hundley stay in college for the year, I'm afraid we may make the same mistake, draft a kid like Bortles, Carr or Manziel, and be locked into these kids for a few years at least. However, next year's drafting would then be lining up to be one of the strongest classes I could remember with Bridgewater, Hundley, Mariota and potentially Winston.

McCarron has reached his ceiling. You see it.

Murray is the guy I'd like to see.

Aaron Murray will be a stud in the NFL, IMO. i would love if we drafted him.

 He's an inch shorter than Ponder.

Sorry, I like Murray's game too but I had to laugh at your endorsement of a "midget". :)

All I know is that I want NOTHING to do with A.J. McCarron. A.J. is Ponder, except he won in college. He is kinda like Kellen Moore as well.

Bridgewater heading to the NFL

While the quarterback had said in recent weeks that he still hadn't made up his mind about his future, it doesn't come as much of a surprise that Bridgewater will forego his senior season at Louisville and instead enter the NFL Draft. At the moment both CBSSports.com draft analysts Rob Rang and Dane Brugler have Bridgewater projected as the top pick in the NFL Draft, going to the Houston Texans (who, coincidentally, are hiring a coach from the college ranks) - See more at: http://www.prosportsdaily.com/articles/ ... I think another year in school would do wonders. And we would have to use our first pick in order to get him, and no way would he be ready to start.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that UCLA quarterback Brett Hundley has also decided to remain in college for another season. Hundley said after UCLA’s win in the Sun Bowl last week that he was still weighing his options and has apparently decided that his game needs some more polishing before he moves up to the professional ranks.
