I Really Don't Know How Minny Will Do This Year
Did I think getting McNabb was a good thing? Don't know. Haven't seen enough of Webb or Ponder playing yet to figure it out. All I can say about Ponder is look what happened after Aaron Rodgers sat a couple years behind the wily old veteran. Maybe he will be the gold later. But the fact you only have one proven veteran receiver should be worrying. Yeah, Peterson is the shiznit, but there will be times when throwing it is necessary. One thing I'm sure of is McNabb at least knows the tight end is a very viable option.
But with the Packers awesome offense, and the Bears awesome defense, and the Lions seeming to be riding a rising star, this will be one stiff division to be trying to rebuild with and expect your team to do well.

I dont expect us to do well. I expect us to fininsh 4th in the division, again. Our Big Ten offense and the inability of the defense to pick up the slack or make any adjustments, or get off the field on 3rd down, doesnt look good.
As far as McNabb, getting him was a good idea. Webb isnt any better and Ponder isnt ready. McNabb absolutely sucked yesterday, but Id rather have him starting this season while we rebuild rather than put Ponder out there when the team really has no chance in hell of anything more than an 8-8 record, at best. Id rather McNabb get hurt and flounder around behind this OL than Ponder. We'll have a top 10 pick to get an OL, and hopefully by then Frazier has abandoned his Childress ways and actually coaches.

Don't worry they suck. Packers have the division again this year.

However, I cannot stand the love for Suh. Not that I don't respect the guy but I mean the way everyone is anointing him GOAT makes me a little frustrated. I'd still take Kevin Williams over Suh.

I doubt it happens, but I would be happy for them if they did. The only team in the division, besides the Vikings, that I dont absolutely hate.

Re: I Really Don't Know How Minny Will Do This Year
The Lions can definitely get a good running start with their schedule, next KC, at Minnesota, at Dallas and then I think is the big crunch game, hosting Chicago on a Monday night. Detroit could be 3-1 going into the Chicago game so I think the schedule favors them, even 2-2 would not be too bad. Then SF, Atlanta and Denver so you see, they have some winnable games. What should be the key here is if Detroit can finish strong, have a good second half of the season which is only slightly harder than their first 8 games.
I once saw a table of the # of Playoff games each team has played, I think the Vikings are around 39 or 40 games which is pretty good. I think Detroit has played between 10-20 in their longer history, somewhere in there. I once saw one of their playoff games live.... so, yes, I'm kind of fond of the Lions after the Vikings.
The Bears certainly took it to the Falcons though.
