Re: Pick4 Week 8 -- Results Hunter Morrow sounded frustrated and sounds like he gave up which I think was premature...why not participate just for the fun. Even with my poor run, I was 3-1 last week, not to bad for a week's performance.

I simulated all the picks for the rest of the season, assuming 50% chance of getting each pick right and ignoring pushes.  6 points is pretty hard to make up considering you net only 4 points in an average week.

Re: Pick4 Week 8 -- Results I was in one pool where one person picked mediocre during the season but won the post season. So all is not lost.
But BGM having a 6 point lead with 8 games to go does indeed seem to make sense of having about a 50% chance of winning. BGM got those 2 straight weeks of perfect games and now another perfect round. But those percentages can of course change and 50% chance of winning, not wanting to jinx anyone can also mean a 50% chance of losing.
Let's not jinx anyone, whomever wins! Good and BGM has done excellent.
I've had problems reading the games but I've done well enough... in the past, just middle of the pack, this is no big deal and half the season to go. I am competing with myself.
Besides this, many of my picks and I'm sure it pertains to misses by other people as well have often just barely missed the spread. Lots of close games it seems to me this year.
