Poor Nate Stanley. Its like he doesn't even exist
Mr Irrelevant!

I do hope he and Browning have a chance to battle for the 3rd spot. He's going to be at quite the disadvantage this year I'm thinking but fingers crossed we have a training camp!
I'd like to see us keep both Stanley and Browning and Dump Mannion.

That would be nice but it appears Mannion has a spot here as long as he wants it lol. Only way he would lose it is if he sees extended playing time and plays poorly.

Probably. Lance Zierlein talking about the Vikings draft really liked Stanley.

I was surprised when I read about him in my draft magazine lol. He actually has good size and reportedly a good arm. Sounds promising for where he was drafted.

Yeah I think from the sound of it Kirk was a little more mobile coming out though. Also more accurate on rollouts.

I agree. There is a difference between being bad in the pocket and being immobile like Stanley.

Who was the last guy like Stanley to have success in the NFL? I am not talking older vets who become immobile with age, but compensate with vet savvy and quick reads. I am talking a rookie or 1st year QB who just couldn't move in the pocket. The NFL is hard on young QBs who are immobile.

Don’t forget, he was also a three-year starter for a quality Big Ten program that runs a pro style offense. He went 3-0 in bowl games. His stats aren’t eye popping because Iowa always leans toward the conservative side of things, and he’s not throwing to 5-star recruits. But he’s solid.

No idea if he’ll transition well to the NFL, but he was easily worth a 7th round draft choice.

Go ahead. I dare you.
Underestimate this man.

Was Manning ever that immobile? Bledsoe?

Yeah I think he was definitely worth a 7th rounder and if they take the time to coach him up he could st least be a decent back up.

Unless Cousins gets hurt or his production drops off a cliff I think he will be the QB for 5 to 6 years.

I'm new here, what's the general consensus on the Cousins era so far?

Rivers...Eli wasn't too swift a foot either. Carson Palmer. Bradford. There have been a large number who were at least NFL calibur, and some who were very good within the last couple decades.
