Re: Vikings at Jets pregame thread
I am guessing we lose to the Jets and then destroy the saints and lions.

Re: Vikings at Jets pregame thread
Unfortunately it appears, per Ian Rappaport, that Cool will not be playing again this wk. He was listed as a full participant in practice Wed and DNP yesterday. That's what I just hate about hammy issues. They sometimes just keep lingering on and on.
I sure hope Cook doesn't end up being one of those unfortunate guys that just can't stay healthy. The kid has all the potential to be a stud but just can't seem to stay healthy.
Maybe the staff are being cautious and conservative with him for the long haul, but I really want to see what he can do.
As I have posted a few times, I really hope that we start giving Boone more touches and give the kid a chance to see what he can do. I like Murray, and he did have a great game last week, but from his play in pre season and the very limited plays we have seen so far, i just feel like Boone really does have a great skill set and could really be a spark, not only as a runner but as a receiver out of the backfield.
I just really want to see the coaching staff give him some touches and see what he can do. If he proves me wrong so be it. Here's hoping!
Mostly, I just hope Cook gets healthy and gets back on the field.

Re: Vikings at Jets pregame thread
This feels like a tough one and an important one.
I want to see the defense continue to get its swagger back. We're without Hughes, but Trae is back and should be fully recovered by now. Haven't heard about Dejo, but Harris and Iloka filled in nicely last week. I'm more worried about the trenches--Hunter is dinged, and without Everson we are pretty thin up front. Sheldon's gotta be pumped to face his original team; I look for him to come out hot.
On the offense I hope to see progress on the OL. Diggs is due for a big game. I agree, Kapp, that Boone has major potential and we need to let him show it. Did he fumble some weeks back? Is that why they've pulled the reigns back on him? Murray did too, IIRC, so there's that. What I like about Boone is that he has a burst that Murray doesn't have. I think the two of them can compliment one another--fresh legs.
