Preseason Week 4 Post Game Thoughts

Gonna be honest with you guys ... I was starting to fall asleep in my chair around half time
I thought Boone looked really good.
I think Siemian has looked pretty bad in the preseason but it is preseason so maybe like the games themselves, it doesn't really matter. There isn't any controversy about who the backup QB is and I'm not sure how I feel about that lol
Vikings’ Trevor Siemian better, but not as good as Kyle Sloter in 13-3 preseason victory

“I thought (Siemian) played better (than last week),’’ Zimmer said. “It was good to see he had good command in the huddle of the guys.’’
Sloter had played well in each of the first three preseason games, but head coach Mike Zimmer sought to put an end to any potential controversy early this week by saying Siemian is definitely his No. 2 quarterback behind Cousins.
“I think in this league you’re always trying to improve and you’re competing every week,” Siemian said of competing with Sloter. ‘So I think if you’re feeling pretty settled at any position, you’re probably in trouble. For me, I wanted to improve this preseason and I think I’ve done that.”
Zimmer said it’s unfair to compare preseason statistics between Siemian and Sloter. Sloter’s were much better but he often went against third-team players.
“We don’t really look at numbers,’’ Zimmer said. “We look at performance, when they play. We look at practice. We look at everything they’ve done.’’
Regardless, Zimmer said Sloter “did well” in the preseason. He liked on Thursday his communication in the huddle and his clock management.
