One of the things the Eagles utilized was a fake protection call. They noticed Zimmer would put both LB's in the A-gap until the center/QB called out the Mike (protection call to the line), then that identified LB would drop back out of the gap. Philly knew this and instead called out the Mike but blocked the opposite LB knowing that whoever they called out in the protection call wasn't likely to be the one blitzing.
Someone posted an article on it here, pretty interesting read. The Eagles definitely did their homework and sadly outcoached the Vikings in that game.
