So with the Eagles winning the Super Bowl they should be opening the NFL season on Thursday night at home. Their home games have playoff teams going to Philly. The Panthers, Falcons and the Vikings.

Who do they play in the AFC?
Otherwise, I could see a divisional game, especially against Dallas.

I feel like the opening game of the season will be Vikings @ Eagles. Due to the Eagles winning last night, they will get the first game of the season. Looking at their home games for next season I believe the best one for the NFL would be the Vikings. For the record, the Eagles have the following home games:

Vikings
Giants
Cowboys
Redskins
Falcons
Panthers
Texans
Colts

None of the NFC East teams are worthy of the opening game, it won't be either of the AFC South teams, that leaves the Vikings, Falcons, and Panthers. From those three I believe the NFL would go with the Vikings simple because of the NFCC rematch angle that they can play up.

NFC East will change next year IMO. WSH and NYG will bounce back. DAL will be the same or worse.

I could see us playing them opening night or one of the NFC S teams. The NFL likes the opening game to be a marquee matchup. That is probably a good time for us to play them. Early season tends to favor defenses as offenses are still yet to hit mid-season stride.

Meh, now that the game basically means nothing we'll probably stomp them (yeah, yeah, every game in the NFL is important but your season isn't over if you lose game 1).

True. But it's the first chapter of a new era (Cousins - De Felipo). I would love to start it off on the right foot and get in the habit of winning.

I can definitely see us beating Philly though. Especially if we improve the OL in the draft. Since 2015, Cousins is 4-2 against them. On a bad team. His only two losses since 2015 came this year. However, the 2nd game vs. the Eagles at Philly he played very well. Was 30 for 40 for 303, 3 TDs and 1 INT. But his D gave up 34 points. I would imagine Zim plays them much differently this time around. Definitely dont see our D giving up 38 points again. We then add in Dalvin Cook to the mix. I like our chances
